Capacity Building Package

LGMA NSW is now offering a Membership package called the LGMA NSW Capacity Building Package. This package provides your Council staff access to econnect as well as the LGMA NSW Good Practice Toolkit.

Sustainability Health Check

An initiative of LGMA NSW addressing social, governance, economic, ecological and built environment (human habitat) concerns for council and the community, the NSW Local Government Sustainability Health Check was developed by Sustainable Futures Australia for Local Government Managers Australia, NSW (LGMA) and the NSW Department of Environment and Conservation.

Governance Health Check

The GHC has been designed to give Councils a simple tool to identify key elements of corporategovernance in a NSW local government context and to measure their progress in relation to each of these elements. It is accompanied by a Manual that provides a useful reference tool to assist Councils to better understand the elements of good corporate governance, find additional resources and identify best practice.

Management Excellence Awards

The LGMA NSW Excellence are one of the most prestigious events in the local government sector, and a prominent feature of the LGMA NSW’s Annual Conference. It is an opportunity for the Association to recognise local government professionals and to celebrate excellence.
