About the LGMA NSW Integrated Planning Conference

The LGMA NSW Integrated Planners Member Network covers a wide area of interest including management planning issues, organisational performance, state of the environment reporting, grant seeking, benchmarking, management, annual reports, and quality best practice.  The LGMA NSW Integrated Planning Conference will be held over two days and includes informative guest speakers, industry panel sessions, local government case studies and networking opportunities. This conference is a new inititiative for LGMA NSW and we look forward to developing this conference into an annual event.

About The Programme

Over two days, delegates will have the opportunity to hear from industry leaders through keynote plenary sessions and panel discussions, participate in tailored sessions on specific topics and share their knowledge and techniques through group work and networking opportunities.

About the Delegates

It is anticipated that the Integrated Planning Conference will be attended by 80 or more Integrated Planners, Corporate Planners, Directors and General Managers.

Programme Highlights

Looking forward with IPR
Now that all councils have submitted their integrated plans and are well on their way to implementation, this session will look at "where to from here" and how the IPR legislation links to the proposed changes in the local government act and Destination 2036, including specific LGMA NSW actions.

A Plan to make NSW #1
How does the NSW 2021 and Regional Action Plans fit in with IPR? What are the links to our Community Strategic Plans, ROC planning, regional strategies and state of the region reporting? This session will look at addressing how NSW 2021 works with local government.

Cultural Engagement Framework
The Australia Council for the Arts Cultural Engagement Framework encompasses eight strategies that reflect their commitment to creating opportunities for all Australians to participate in cultural opportunities. This presentation will show us how the Australia Council for the Arts engaged with diverse sections and the strategies used.
